Becky has worked in local government for over 40 years. She has extensive experience in all facets of governmental, special revenue, proprietary, and fiduciary fund accounting as well as budgeting, payroll, property tax collection, and fund management.
Becky believes that she can use her municipal experience to train in-house staff to manage their accounting systems, budgets, and financial reporting procedures while streamlining processes and putting control of these functions back in the hands of the local government.
Becky served as a budget reviewer for the Government Finance Officer’s Association Distinguished Budget Award program and presented classes on GASB statement 34 year-end closing procedures for the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association (MiGFOA). While working as a Finance Director/Treasurer, Becky held the professional accreditation of Certified Professional Finance Administrator for 30 years and was a Michigan Certified Professional Treasurer. Becky is a long-time member of the MiGFOA and served on the Board of Directors for four years, as well as serving on the Mentoring and Professional Development Committees. She is a Past-President of Oakland County Treasurers’ Association.
Becky received her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Northwood University.
